This Privacy Notice for Almar Media Limited (doing business as Calio AI) explains how we handle your information when you use the Calio AI mobile application (the “App”). We want to be clear: we do not collect, store, or process personal information on our own servers. All health, meal, and fasting data remains on your device. Limited data may be processed directly by trusted third-party providers as outlined below.

1) What Information Do We Collect?

On Device Only. All calorie, meal, and fasting data remains stored locally on your device. We do not access or retain this data.

Payments. Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store / iTunes). We never receive or store your payment card details.

Analytics (AppsFlyer). We use AppsFlyer to measure installs, app opens, and subscription conversions. This data is processed by AppsFlyer according to their privacy policy. We do not collect, store, or retain IP addresses, device details, or analytics data on our own servers.

Device Permissions. The App may request access to your camera (for food scanning) and notifications (for reminders). You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.

We do not display in-app advertising, sell your data, or use your information for targeted advertising.

5) AI Services

Passio AI processes your meal images solely to estimate nutritional information (macros). OpenAI may receive a short text prompt to generate a descriptive meal name. No personal identifiers or health records are transmitted to these providers, and we do not store or log the images or outputs.

We do not store user data on our servers. On-device data is deleted when you uninstall the App. Third-party processors (Apple, AppsFlyer, Passio, OpenAI) handle retention according to their own policies.

We use industry-standard third-party providers who maintain secure infrastructures. No system is 100% secure. Because we do not store user data ourselves, any exposure risk is limited to the third-party processors listed in this Notice.

8) Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect or process data from minors. If we learn a child has provided data, we will work with relevant providers to ensure deletion.

9) Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., EU, UK, California, Canada), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent (e.g., disabling permissions). Requests can be sent to hello@calioai.com. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

This Notice is intended to comply with applicable requirements of GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other US state privacy laws, PIPL (China), and relevant privacy acts (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa).

We may update this Privacy Policy to remain compliant with applicable laws. Updates will be posted in the App and/or on our website, with the “Last updated” date adjusted accordingly.
